Slip, Slop, Slap December 10 2014

I'm not referring to the aftermath of the office xmas party! Now the sun is out in New Zealand, we need to start applying a good sunscreen when hitting the pavement (with the right sports bra of course!).

Consumer NZ recently measured the SPF protection and broad-spectrum protection of 12 sunscreens. Get this, 7 products didn’t meet the SPF claim on their label. That's pretty bad and worth checking out their study to see which sunscreens not to buy.

It's interesting to see that in NZ, sunscreens are classified as cosmetics so Consumer NZ encourage consumers to buy those that comply with the Australian and New Zealand Standard (AS/NZS 2604). My pick for the best slap? Oasis Sun - check out these reviews. It's made in NZ, has no crap in it, can be used on the face & body and has some some cool stuff in it like shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E. (Nope, I am not being paid or endorsed in anyway for this product).

So before you strap on your sports bra, and don those sneakers, slip, slop, slap!
