3 weeks before my first half marathon & guess what I did? July 15 2014
What's the one thing a runner does not want before a race? An injury and especially a leg injury so what do I go and do...pull a ham string with only three weeks before attempting my first half marathon. It wasn't even doing something spectacular either unless a pendulum stretch in cross fit counts! On the positive side, I rode my bike today after 11 days of no exercise so mentally thats made me feel a lot better and fingers crossed the physio gives the all clear to start running again next week. I also have to remind myself I'm no hard core athlete training for THE race of their life and there are plenty of other halvies to tackle if I have to miss this one.
